A different kinda club....
Welcome to the Impact Futbol Family! We are glad you could join us on your child's journey through the beautiful game the world has long adored, and what we call soccer.
Your child's journey through this game is structured in such a way that their time will be spent maximized necessary foundational skills that they can carry with them forward throughout their soccer career. Each step on the path is designed to build upon previous steps to build out a well-rounded player. Some key qualities of a good soccer player are as follows:
- Intelligent - both on the field, and off the field
- Respectful - in all aspects of life
- Critical thinker - able to solve complex problems on the fly
- Team Player - Everyone works towards a common goal
- Hard working - always leaving everything on the field
- Family Oriented - Everyone on the team is part of the Impact Family
The Journey
As with all skills, mastery comes with a lifetime of learning. Your child's development will be broken down into critical steps with key learning targets at each step.
- Recreation - this is the entry level into soccer and is designed to evaluate your child's interest in the sport. This is usually a child's first experience with any sport, so the goal here is to have fun and enjoy the ride!
- Academy (IDP) - IDP or Individual Development Phase is focused on your child as an individual. This phase of development will establish rituals, drills, and core skills that will carry through the rest of your child's soccer career. We teach these early so that they can be honed over the years to come. Academy consists of Practices, Academy Play Dates, and Tournaments.
- Classic (TDP) - TDP or Team Development Phase aims to shape your children into a cohesive team that can execute plays and anticipate actions. This is the first level of true competitive soccer where teams are ranked, and competition becomes more focused.
- College Prep (AGP) - AGP or Advanced Game Phase is the highest level of competition and learning. The goal of the AGP phase is to prepare children for a potential college career path that includes playing soccer for a school or university. The focus in this phase is putting the finishing touches on what has already been learned to this point. The AG Phase also offers the elite athlete a chance to join the Showcase team.
- College Prep (Showcase) - The showcase team is the highest level a player within impact can achieve. The child has displayed an aptitude for the game, and the skills to back them up. This level of competition is peak. In this phase, children will work on highlight reels that can be included as part of a college application. At this level, the question isn't whether or not they will play in college, but more so putting together a package that can be presented to the college they wish to play for.
