IFC New Balance College Prep Program
Introducing our Impact Futbol Club Official New Balance College Prep program. Where Iredell County's top soccer talent comes together for a chance to play on our top-level NB Showcase team and embark on a high level, high intensity and advanced soccer curriculum journey.
What's it all about?
The program is to give our areas top soccer talent the chance to develop their soccer career through advanced and high intensity training sessions, which includes in-depth classroom-based soccer education, team theory and athletic understanding. Which overall, pushes our athletes both physically and as a student of the game in order to produce top level soccer players.
The program is aimed for students who have a desire to further their soccer career and strive towards one day playing at a collegiate, semi pro or pro level. The program is designed to work with the players on building 'Player Profiles'; relationships between colleges and their coaches and overall exposing each individual to high level showcase opportunities, creating a healthy, realistic and focused soccer career path.
Seminar Night
College Prep Night Seminar
Our College Prep Night gives both player and their families a direct insight on "How to get to college' from several different stand points. During the seminar, players and parents will hear from high school teaches (specific to college prep) on how to reach college goals from an academic standpoint; from College coaches, on what they look for when recruiting players; from current college players, on what life is like as a college player. We also add in the chance to hear from coaches and player outside of college who are on a semi pro and pro pathway and what expectations and pathways are from their standpoint.
Commitment & Expectations
Player Commitment & Expectations
For this program, players are held to a high, disciplined and mature character that demands a high level of drive, passion, focus, determination and commitment. All players will be required to complete individual tasks on and off the field such as player profile write ups, explore potential colleges and learn team game play tactics with individual roles and responsibility content. We expect each player to become a self-analyzer and take control of their own development, through the help and direction of their coaches.
Parent Commitment & Expectations
Although the program is aimed and focused on the players, parents are expected to help guide their player(s) through support and off the field task management (making sure players are hitting deadlines on time). The players are also required to attend 1 to 1 interviews with their coaches. Parents are strongly suggested to attend these meetings to help with the overall understanding of their Players Development Plan (PDPs). Parents are also required to attend our College prep night.
