Welcome to the Impact Academy!
The academy will be your home for the next few years as your child develops and grows with the foundational skills that will define the rest of your child's soccer career.
What to expect:
Training:
Training is broken up into specific segments during the training session:
- Pre-Warm up
- Warm up Phase
- Orientation Phase
- Learning Phase
- Implementation Phase
The goal of the training sessions during the Academy phase of the player development is to focus on the individual development portion of the child's development (IDP). These will become the foundational skills needed as players move into higher levels of play.
6U Future Stars Jr Academy Program
Finding the right sports program for your child is always difficult. Here at Impact FC, not only will we have your little ones fully engaged, naturally embedding a love of the game, our US Soccer qualified and experienced coaching staff breaks down those all-important basic soccer skills so that the players learn good habits within their technical skill development.
Our 8-week 6U program consists of weekly 50-minute sessions of which 30 minutes is dedicated to fine tuning technical skill and 20 minutes for teaching the tactical game of soccer through scrimmage style play.
7U Program
This is where it all starts for our players creeping in to more structured and challenging areas of soccer. Although fundamentals such as passing, dribbling, shooting and much more, are still or main focus of training, our coaches strive to implement those all-important life skills. Here at Impact FC we recognize the importance of our children’s futures. Our coaches aim to lead our players on a successful path that is more than just kicking a soccer ball. Within our 7U program, players receive 2 one-hour training sessions per week with monthly in-house scrimmages.
8U - 10U Program
Boys & Girls who fall into our 8U to 10U program will receive 2 one-hour-a-week training sessions and will participate in NCYSA Academy Play Dates throughout the Fall & Spring season. Teams will go up against other club’s Academy teams at specific hosting locations. Within training sessions, all IFC coaching staff are trained in & implement Impact FC very own IMC (Impact Method of Coaching). This allows players to receive the same underline method of coaching through their time here at Impact Futbol Club, no matter their coach. Although with different coaches throughout their soccer career comes different coaching styles, it is important that players also have those similarity where they always feel apart of a complete product and a Soccer family we have here at Impact.
Each Academy Team will also receive two pre season camps (Fall pre season & Spring pre season) which consist of 4 days, 1 hour training per day, to allow players to meet their new team mates, coaches and get game ready for the season ahead.
Please also know that all NCYSA Academy Playdates are set up and hosted by NCYSA affiliated clubs. As our club looks to host 1-2 playdates per season, our academy playdates are a little heavier on the away traveling side. However, we are careful to not schedule academy playdates that are any more than 45 minutes to 1 hour drive away from the Statesville Soccer Complex location (the exception to this rule is the NCYSA Academy Showcase tournament which location is set by NCYSA and is played over a Saturday and a Sunday).
Academy | 7U - 10U
- This can be split into 10 monthly payments over the year
- Parental Participation Agreement must be signed
- NSYSA Medical Waiver must be signed
- Uniform Kit is separate, and must be purchased from Best Buy Soccer
